About Heritage Restoration LLC

Heritage Restoration LLC opened in Little Falls, Minnesota in 2023 with a straightforward purpose: give property owners in Central Minnesota access to restoration work done to the same technical standard as the large regional firms, without the impersonal handoff to a crew they’ve never met. The company is young, and we say that plainly, what backs the work isn’t decades of marketing history, it’s current certification and a hands-on approach to every loss.

What we do

Most calls come in at the wrong time, after a pipe bursts overnight, after a kitchen fire, after a homeowner pulls back a baseboard and finds the wall cavity has been wet long enough to grow something. The work itself is methodical: assess what’s wet or contaminated, document it thoroughly for the insurance carrier, set the right equipment, and monitor until the readings confirm the structure is genuinely dry, not just dry at the surface. Water behind plaster or under a floating floor can read fine with a pin meter while the substrate underneath stays saturated for weeks. Getting that wrong means a mold problem three months later.

A significant part of the job is also the insurance process. We photograph affected materials, write scopes, and communicate directly with adjusters so that homeowners aren’t left translating between their contractor and their carrier during an already stressful week.

Our certifications and what they actually mean

The IICRC, the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification, sets the technical standards the restoration industry runs on. The S500 standard governs water damage response; the S770 governs fire and smoke. Holding IICRC credentials in Water Restoration (WRT), Structural Drying (ASD), Fire and Smoke Restoration (FSRT), and Applied Microbial Remediation (AMRT) means the technician on your job has tested knowledge of those standards, not just field intuition.

The EPA Lead-Safe certification is a federal requirement, not an optional credential. Any contractor disturbing painted surfaces in a home built before 1978 must be certified under the EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting rule. In Central Minnesota, where a substantial share of housing stock predates that cutoff, this comes up regularly, and skipping it isn’t a paperwork issue, it’s a health and legal one.

Where we work

Heritage Restoration LLC is based in Little Falls and serves Morrison County and the surrounding communities throughout Central Minnesota, including Brainerd, Baxter, Long Prairie, Motley, Royalton, and the broader lakes region to the north. The area’s mix of older in-town housing and rural lakeshore properties means the work varies: century-old plaster-and-lath construction in town, crawlspace foundations on seasonal cabins, slab-on-grade in newer builds. Each presents its own drying and remediation challenges, and knowing the local housing stock matters when you’re trying to read a moisture map accurately.
